So I bake every Sunday night and sometimes even more often but I dont ever blog about it enough. I was talking to Taryn before I made last Sunday's dessert and she told me to blog about it if it was good and it was so here it is...

Apple Crip

I got the recipie off a blog(thegirlwhoateeverything) that Taryn recommnded to me and it was delicious! It was a hit with out usual Sunday visitors/dessert eaters/bestest friends :)

The pics arent the best but it was very tasty!
Just in case you wanna try this is the recipie we used:
10 cups all-purpose apples, peeled, cored and sliced (I used about 6 Granny Smith apples)

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

2 cups quick-cooking oats
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter, melted

Directions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Place the sliced apples in a 9x13 inch pan. Mix the white sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, nutmeg, and ground cinnamon together, and sprinkle over apples.
3.Combine the oats, 2 cups flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and melted butter together. Crumble evenly over the apple mixture.
4.Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
5. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Shooting

So taking a little study break to blog bout my Monday per Taryn's request :)
So I had Monday off from school (so wonderful) and part of the holdiay I spent shooting things. Lexi and I went with a few guys from our ward and another girl over to the other side of Utah Lake and shot a bunch of random junk. We had a 22 rifle and a 9mm and a 40cal (i think). They were all way fun to shoot. The handguns had some kick but not enough to hurt any of us...even Lexi (although she did scream the first time...and second time she shot the 40cal). We shot a few rootbeer bottles and some old shotgun shells and at targets and we shot up a ridiculous little stuffed animal chicken that andrew had. We messed up the chicken pretty good, Andrew was very proud. Nobody got shot so that was a plus too! I had fun I've always wanted to go shooting so it was exciting and I felt so awesome holding an actual gun (never thought anyone would actually hand one to me!).
After sooting we went to FHE and did service painting a bunch of stuff for a lady who runs a daycare. So that was a good end to the day off.

Playing in Heber

This weekend a group of us went to Heber to and stayed and played at my roommate Jenessa's house. It was so much fun, Jenessa has a very nice house with lots and lots to do. We went up Friday evening and got right to playing. We played volleyball and walleyball Friday night it was fun I do not play volleyball and most of them do but I still had a lot of fun, even though it inflicted pain haha. For dinner Friday night we made traditional Italian pizzas in the Roney's awesome brick pizza oven. They were super yummy and obviously fun to make. Then we played around some more. That night Lexi and I shared an air mattress. When we went to bed we could hear it might be leaking but dealt with it...woke up several times during the night each time closer to the ground and more pushed against Lexi. We woke up in the morning to our friends taking pictures of us totally on the grouned with walls of airmattres next to us. It was actually quite cozy, Lexi and I like to cuddle so it was perfect.

Saturday was a day full of play. We played volleyball and walleyball again. Then we went snowmobiling which was awesome. They have mini size snowmobiles and a beautiful property to ride them on. It was so much fun. We decked out pretty awesome for our snowmobiling adventure, we looked like we belonged in Heber. Then we went back in and played even more. Jacob taught me how to play raquetball and that was lots of fun...I got um better at it but for my first time I did alright. Then after a long day of all play we headed back. It was so much fun and Jenessa and her family were way awesome to let us all come and stay. Today I'm sore all over my body but I love it because I feel all good for being so active haha and because it was so fun.
